As Managing Director at Sutter Hill Ventures, Chad was instrumental in scaling Snowflake's revenue team — personally helping CRO Chris Degnan recruit over 500 people. He has placed more than 7,500 software sales executives throughout his career, from SDRs to CROs, working alongside the industry's best CEOs. He founded RPT Partners to combine investing with hands-on GTM operational support.
Chris was the first sales hire at Snowflake — employee #13 — and spent 11 years as its Chief Revenue Officer, scaling the company from pre-revenue to over $3 billion in ARR through four CEOs. He helped lead the largest software IPO in history and built one of the most respected GTM organizations in enterprise technology.
Chris is the co-author of Make It Snow: From Zero to Billions (Wiley, 2026), the definitive playbook on how Snowflake scaled its go-to-market organization. He currently advises founders and revenue leaders through ICONIQ and RPT Partners.
